If you’re thinking of voting Republican because you’re pissed at Obama, remember the words of Stephen Colbert in the voting booth.
I have a seen a bit of commentary on this post, but it as yet to change my mind.
He ain’t perfect, but he’s the best we got.

Out of Time by Skyler Gurley
One try, one day, I don’t know what else to say.
I step into a dusty machine and it clicks and crackles while I’m still. Then suddenly I am floating in mid-air and feathers are coming in. I peer out the window and see mountains and moons. Which way should I choose? I glide toward the moon, straight and steady. “I am ready,” I shout to say.” The moon leads to a kingdom of laughter. That is what I choose. This is the time, the place and where I should be.
Skyler brought this story home from school and Trae and I both raised eyebrows after reading it and thought, by george, she’s got it! Such wonderful insight about choosing happiness and understanding we’re in the time, place and where we should be. I think we’ll keep this story printed out on the fridge in case we go astray and choose sadness over happiness. A kingdom of laughter?? I’ll take it!

What a week! I had the pleasure of going to Las Vegas for a promotional and incentives trade show which was so much fun and SO busy! I met some great sales folks from companies I love like Kikkerland and Umbra and picked their brains. The company hosting me was magnificent and we had a great time getting to know each other! It was a brief trip, just a day and a half of working, but it was so fun! While I was on that side of the country…I had to pop in and see the fam, as I’ve been missing them something fierce lately…
I arrived on Thursday night—dinner with the grandparents, which was lovely. Then Friday, my brother had to work so my parents and I went junkin’ pretty much the entire day. My eyes were glazed over with wonderment due to all the amazing things we saw. My suitcase was 10 pounds heavier when I left and I had to get my mom to lend me another bag to accommodate all the goodies! Hung out with my best friend’s parents on Friday night after dinner with the bro…Then Saturday, got up, went to the auction, got some AMAZING deals and then it was time for me to leave again!! Such a quick trip, but so very worth it. Whenever I leave Idaho I bawl my eyes out and this was no exception…It’s so hard to not be a part of my family’s every day life and when I come back and see all the great stuff happening in Boise and with them, I have a hard time tearing my heart away…I vow to visit more this year so I won’t feel so distant!
Back at work today, sorting through all the e-mails from the time away with a dog in my lap…It doesn’t feel like work so much when you have cuddly animals around…and of course my awesome hubby who cleaned the house from top to bottom and had dinner waiting when I arrived, zombie-like, from my flight. I’m sure thankful that I got to start the year out with such a wonderful little whirlwind!

My god I can’t wait. Poor Trae, now my Lord of the Rings Marathon Sunday’s will start with this, thus making the total time spent drooling over Peter Jackson’s masterpieces about 12 hours…I. Am. Stoked.
